What do the world’s top athletes have in common?

Each one of them has a coach who is dedicated to helping them succeed

So, what does this have to do career coaching?

I realized the similarities some years ago when I wanted to get serious about my fitness. Weightlifting was new to me. I needed an expert; someone who understood this sport and could help guide develop a plan to achieve my goals. As well as be my mentor and cheerleader.

For an athlete to be the best – to succeed over the competition – requires time and energy (work) as well as the expertise of a coach. A professional who can evaluate their situation, develop training, provide constructive feedback, and – above all – motivate and encourage.

And push the athlete outside of their comfort zone when necessary.

Just like an athlete, when it comes to your career, it helps to have an expert in your corner.

And finding the right coach is important. You want to work with someone who has actually “walked the walk”.

I lead from personal experience, not some concept I read in a book. This real-world experience allows me to understand what you are going through and provide constructive feedback to help you move forward.
